About us

Purpose

The purpose of the association is to develop and support activities related to organising and running concerts, above all of art music. Its flagship project is the concert series ECHO katedrály.

Main activities

The main activities of the association are running the concert series, preparing and organising social and cultural events, and securing the funds needed for activities and projects that fulfil its purpose. Any further forms of activity are determined by the general meeting.

Our goals

• to enrich cultural life in the Cathedral of the Divine Saviour and in the centre of Ostrava,
• to bring musical experiences to the widest possible audience,
• to connect music with the visual side – the beauty and uniqueness of the architecture of the sacred buildings in the city centre,
• to offer audiences interesting and valuable concert projects, including programming that reaches towards staged and so-called crossover projects,
• to reflect in individual projects important days connected with religious feasts and the feasts of saints,
• to cooperate, as far as possible, with Czech and international festivals of a similar focus,
• to give audiences the opportunity for open discussion and meeting after the projects, including meeting the artists, members of the association and the organising team.

Foundation and governance

The association was founded on 2 October 2026 by registration in the Register of Associations kept by the Regional Court in Ostrava under file no. L 22989. Its highest body is the general meeting; its statutory body is the chairman, Mgr. Vítězslav Řehulka, who acts on behalf of the association independently.
